Baylor Scott & White Health Plan Awards Grant to Hope Pregnancy Centers, Inc.

We are thrilled to announce being a recipient of Baylor Scott & White Health Plan's Purposeful Partnership grant.

This generous outpouring allows Hope to provide more ultrasounds in a timely manner for underserved populations.

The grant, which commits to funding $30,000 of RDMS and ultrasound personell, will bolster our efforts to care for women in serveral ways:
  • Women experiencing hardship or unplanned pregnancy will be able to receive a non-diagnostic ultrasound sooner than she can conventionally get in to see her OBGYN (or allow her to move forward with plans to establish an OBGYN.)

  • When parents can confirm the heartbeat of their unborn child sooner they make more informed choices, which may include smoking cessation, drug prevention, eating healthier, and making informed arrangements physically, emotionally, and financially. This improves health and quality outcomes for the mother and the baby.

  • Having an RDMS on staff will afford us the opportunity to rely on him or her for in-house training. Sonographers will have greater confidence (a transvaginal ultrasound is one example) that ultimately detect a heartbeat earlier and help parents get the support they need sooner.

We are incredibly grateful and encouraged by this generous gift. Will you pray that we can steward these funds to the best of our abilities as we hire additional staff?
